One of my favorite quotes is from Winston Churchill, “Never, never, never, never give up. “ This quote inspired me many years ago when I was in the weight-loss process. This quote encouraged me to never to quit losing weight until I reached my weight-loss goal. When I was faced with weight loss obstacles, I did not quit. I refused to quit until I prevailed, and you can also win at losing weight if you remember this quote and “Never, never, never, never give up.“
One of the biggest weight loss obstacles that keeps people from shedding weight is emotional eating. An emotional event can derail even the most dedicated person, and cause them to go off track. That is because people tend to eat when an emotional event occurs. Food is what people turn to when they get upset. However, this is a habit and like any habit can be broken.
When I have an emotional event occur in my life, I now exercise as a release, instead of food. When I get stressed, I exercise. If you have not tried exercising to release stress, you don't know what you are missing. After a hard workout, I feel much better, the stress is released, and the emotions are less intense, making it easier to work through the issue. When I workout my emotions instead of eating, I am doing something positive for myself, not destructive.
Therefore, if you want to shed pounds and keep it off, change your emotional eating habit from to exercise. You can do it.
